(A) Installation of a 750 bbl/day capacity Condensate Fractionation Plant at Kailashtilla Gas Field

A project is being planned to setup a 750 bbls/day condensate fractionation plant with the aim of fractionating Jalalabad Gas Field’s condensate into motor spirit, kerosene oil and gas oil. The project would be self financed. A feasibility study is on . The project, if found implementable, would be undertaken in due course.

 

 

 

 

   

(B) Appraisal & Development of Begumganj Gas Field under Joint venture

A project titled Begumgonj Gas Field Appraisal & Development is aimed at meeting present gas demand, improve the supply situation and to cope with the future gas demand. According to the proposed DPP, SGFL & BGFCL would bear the cost of the project equally. The project would include drilling a new well, workover of a well and installation of a gas process plant. The implementation period of the project is July 2008 - December 2011. A joint venture agreement was signed between BGFCL, SGFL and BAPEX for implementing the said project. According to the agreement BGFCL would act as an operator and lead company of joint venture.

 

 

(C) Development of Well no. Sylhet-7

The gas production from Sylhet-7 has ceased on July 2008. It has been decided to bring the well no. Syhet-7 on stream by means of re-workover. The project would be financed from company's own source. As per development project plan the total project cost would be Tk 152.002 million and expected to be completed in August 2010.

 

 

(D) Drilling of five new wells at Kailashtilla, Rashidpur and Haripur

3-dimensional Seismic Survey would be conducted at Kailashtilla, Rashidpur and Haripur Gas Fields. The project is aimed at delineating the extent of gas reserve at RGF, KGF and HGF. The project would be completed in December 2010. Based on the results of 3-D Seismic Survey, two new wells each at KGF & RGF and one new well at HGF would be drilled in future with a view to enhancing the gas production from these fields.
